Our Story - Team

We are grateful for and would like to thank our family, friends and everyone who supported our dreams and challenged us to turn them into the plans that are now Botanical Art.

Meet the Team

Liz started her floral journey in 2010 when she enrolled in Floristry at Richmond TAFE. Since then she has completed her Certificate II, III and IV with honours, was awarded Student of the Year in 2012, competed in Worldskills Regional and National competitions, winning Gold and Bronze medals, and then, with Brendon’s help and encouragement, opened Botanical Art in 2015! Liz realised her dream as a florist was not just to create beautiful floral art but to connect with real people in their everyday lives, whether in an event of celebration or sorrow. Liz loves hearing the story behind the occasion, and then creating the perfect bouquet to suit that person and reason. A perfectionist by nature, you can always count on Liz to see any floral creation finished to perfection whether it be a birthday bunch, fun flower crown or a one-of-a-kind bridal bouquet.

Liz’s husband, Brendon, is the friendly face who will always make any man (or woman) feel welcome in a flower shop! He is also our logistics expert, flower tetris master, skilled delivery navigator and flower market superman. You can always count on our flowers travelling safely when Brendon is packing them, whether it be the raw materials fresh from the flower market or the delicate finished product being delivered to a wedding over 200km away. You may also recognise him from Sun Valley Produce, where he also works during the week. It’s any wonder this busy man has time for a chat but his friendly personality just can’t stop him from making the time.

Chloe joined our team in 2016 after completing her Certificate III in Floristry in 2015. Her favourite flower is the dahlia and loves incorporating their bold colours in her floral arrangements when they are in season. Chloe also has a “soft spot” for cacti and succulents and loves creating quirky terrariums using these interesting materials.
